VBC Team Update

Hi VBC Nation,

We are heading into another full week of training and competition at SPORTIME VBC. Our athletes have been putting in great work in the gym, and it has been fun to see that effort carry over into weekend play. Thank you for all you do to support the process. Please see below for this week’s important club updates.

VBC Boys:

Results:

NIKE Boston National Qualifier #1:

• 12 teams competed at Nike Boston National Qualifier 1. Highlights included 16-1 finishing 2nd in 16 Open, 15-1 finishing 5th in 15 Open, 15 Quogue and 15-4 finishing 5th in 15 USA, and 14-1 finishing 5th in 14 Open. Special shout out to 13-1, who has to play up an age group at every tournament because divisions for their age group do not exist. The 3rd Annual Irish Madness Invitational:

• We had five boys teams compete in the 3rd Annual Irish Madness. Highlights included 15 Lynbrook finishing 3rd in Boys 15, 16 Lynbrook finishing 2nd in Boys 16, and 17 Lynbrook winning the Boys 17 division as tournament champions. For complete tournament results, click here.

Upcoming this weekend:

• We have nine boys teams competing in the NIKE Boston National Qualifier #2. Good luck to 17-1, 17-2, 17-3, 17-4, 17 Quogue, 18-1, 18-2, 18-3, and 18 Quogue.

VBC Girls:

Results:

NIKE Boston National Qualifier #1:

• 15 Gold and 15 Black competed in Nike Boston National Qualifier 1. 15 Black went 6-2 in the American Blue division, and 15 Gold went 4-3 in the Freedom division.

The 3rd Annual Irish Madness Invitational:

• 17 Aqua, 16 Green, and 14 Green competed in the 3rd Annual Irish Madness Invitational. Congratulations to 14 Green for finishing 3rd in the 14 Premier division.
• 15 White finished 3rd and 15 Silver finished 2nd at GEVA Girls 15 Club 2.
• 14 Purple had a strong showing at SPORTIME 14 Club 3 and continues to improve.
• 16 White finished 1st and 16 Silver finished 3rd at SPORTIME 16 Club 2.
• 17 Black finished 5th at GEVA Girls 17 Club 2.
• 16 Red finished 2nd and 16 Purple finished 5th at CALI 16s.

Power League Results:

GEVA Girls Power League Event #2:

• 17 Gold went 2-1 in pool play and won their cross over

Upcoming this weekend:

• This weekend, 17 Gold, 17 Black, 18 Gold, and 18 Black will be competing in Nike Boston National Qualifier 2.
• On March 7, 15 White will compete in the Livingston 15s tournament.
• On March 8, 15 Red, 15 Aqua, and 15 Purple will compete in SPORTIME 15 Club 3.
• Also on March 8, 12 Gold and 12 Black will compete in SPORTIME 12 Open 2.

If you ordered parent gear, you will begin to see those charges posted to your account within the next two weeks.

VBC Summer Indoor & Outdoor Programs: We are in the process of finalizing our summer menu of VBC programs, including indoor clinics, leagues and camps, and outdoor beach and grass training and leagues. We hope to share that with you in a separate communication next week
